What is Reiki?
Reiki is a holistic, energy-based healing practice that originated in Japan in the early 20th century. The term "Reiki" is derived from two Japanese words: "Rei," meaning "Universal," and "Ki," meaning "Life Force Energy." This practice is based on the belief that a vital life force flows through all living beings, and when this energy is balanced and flowing freely, individuals experience optimal health and well-being. Blockages or imbalances in this energy within our bodies can lead to physical, emotional, or spiritual issues.
Reiki is the gift of vitality and self preservation encoded into the genetic makeup of all God's creatures.
Reiki Healing can be beneficial for a variety of issues, including:
- Physical Ailments: Alleviating pain, reducing symptoms of illness, and supporting recovery from surgery or injury.
- Emotional Well-Being: Addressing anxiety, stress, depression, and emotional trauma, promoting a sense of inner peace and balance.
- Spiritual Growth: Enhancing self-awareness, personal insight, and spiritual development, helping individuals connect with their inner selves.

CHAKRA IS AN ANCIENT SANSKRIT WORD MEANING 'WHEEL'. THE CHAKRAS HAVE BEEN STUDIED AND WORKED WITH IN THE ART OF HEALING FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS. THEY ARE VORTEXES OF ENERGY IN THE ETHERIC BODY AND ARE CREATED WHEN THE MERIDIAN LINES OF THE BODY CROSS OVER.
WE EACH HAVE THOUSANDS OF MERIDIANS AND CHAKRAS, HOWEVER MOST PEOPLE WORK WITH THE SEVEN MAIN CHAKRAS IN THIS SYSTEM, WHICH ARE LOCATED DOWN THE SPINE. THE SEVEN CHAKRAS ARE CREATED WHEN A LARGE NUMBER OF MERIDIAN POINTS CROSS AT THE SAME TIME, WEAVING A POWERFUL VORTEX OF LIGHT AND COLOR.
THE SEVEN MAIN CHAKRAS RELATE TO CERTAIN TRAITS AND ASPECTS WE ATTAIN THOUGH OUR LIFE'S JOURNEY, AND THEY AWAKEN AND EXPAND AS WE GROW AND EXPERIENCE LIFE. THE CHAKRAS INDICATE OUR EVOLUTION AND GROWTH ON A SPIRITUAL, EMOTIONAL, MENTAL AND PHYSICAL LEVEL. THEY ARE THE FOCAL POINT OF LIFE-FORCE ENERGY AND THEY EACH HAVE THEIR OWN SPECIFIC COLOUR VIBRATION. WHEN WE NOURISH OUR CHAKRAS ON A REGULAR BASIS THEY BEGIN TO RADIATE A BRILLIANT LIGHT THAT CREATES BALANCE ON ALL LEVELS OF OUR BEING.
WHEN ENERGY GETS BLOCKED IN THE BODY IT CREATES AN IMBALANCE IN OUR ENERGY FIELD OR ETHERIC BODY AND AFFECTS THE CHAKRA SYSTEM RELATING TO THAT ISSUE. WHEN THE CHAKRAS ARE BLOCKED AND OUT OF BALANCE IT CAN CERTAINLY BRING A WORLD OF CONFUSION AND DISHARMONY INTO OUR DAY-TO-DAY LIVES. A SIMPLE CHAKRA BALANCING CAN BRING AN ABUNDANCE OF HEALING AND WELLBEING. IT IS QUITE EASY TO BRING THE CHAKRAS BACK INTO ALIGNMENT THROUGH MEDITATION, INTENTION, COLOR, AND ENERGY HEALING.

A full Reiki treatment reopens the chakras and re-balances the flow of the universal life force around the body. A person will normally need four (4) full consecutive treatments to boost the flow of Reiki energy. This stimulates the body's immune system and natural healing abilities. The results are profound.

Affirmations are an effective tool for training both your conscious and subconscious mind to concentrate on the positive. Our emotions and mental state significantly influence the functioning of our chakras. Each thought triggers a chemical reaction in the brain. These are powerful statements that assert that what we desire is already a reality. To enhance their effectiveness, it's best to express them verbally once or twice a day, ideally in front of a mirror. You might start by saying them first thing in the morning to set a positive tone for the day. Repeating them again before bedtime can help embed them in your subconscious as you drift off to sleep.
